Find Your Strongest Life: What the Happiest and Most Successful Women Do Differently

Makes some good points, but only is so-so in my opinion

I liked this book somewhat: Marcus Buckingham makes some great points, and some of his theories seemed well-researched...but not everything comes across well, and there is definitely some missing research. I also found it a bit odd that the author is a man, writing to women on how they can live their strongest life: kind of strange...?!He advocates changing yourself, playing to your strengths, and building your life around your strengths: I agree with all this, but definiely there are times when you need to change your actual situation, not just change yourself or change the way you view the situation! If you are in a job you hate, don't stay there & play up to your strengths, find a job you love then quit: and if you have a horrible mother-in-law, 'redefine' yourself to handle her...that is all fine and good, but sometimes the ideal way to handle it, is to limit how much time you are with a person like that: not just to change yourself the way the author suggests.I would recommend this as a reasonable read, but wouldn't really say it was great: there were some great points made, and the quiz for finding your strengths is neat, but I don't think necessarily 100% accurate: I took the quiz and having to choose between 4 choices, when what I would actually have done is NONE of those choices, makes the test not really come up accurate for me. It was good, with some good advice, but din't knock my socks off...
