Best Record of 2009
Imogen Heap's "Ellipse" was a close second, and Bruce Hornsby's "Levitate" was also great, but Ben Harper and Relentless7's "White Lies for Dark Times" was the best record of 2009, confirming what many have suspected for some time--that much of the most interesting music being made today has roots in Austin. This is one of those records where the sum is greater than its parts, holding together both as a fantastic rock record and tour de force work of art. Enjoy!
