Susan's Boyle's voice is amazing - what a pleasure to listen to her on her first CD I Dreamed a Dream, but I agree she had been too coached and the musical arrangements and chorus background were overdone - Boyle's voice doesn't need that. I really wanted her to let her voice and emotions go as she did on Britain's Got Talent - the original of Cry Me a River was sexier, with more panache. I also wish the CD had more variety of pace and rhythm - too much emphasis on slow romantic ballads, although I understand her voice lends itself to those. Can't wait for the next CD, but I'd like to hear variety in the song choices - songs such as Fever (Peggy Lee); Summertime; C'est si bon (Eartha Kitt - WOW!); The Power of Love; How Am I Supposed to Live Without You; The Impossible Dream; Baby, It's Cold Outside; You Light Up My Life; At Last; Unchained Melody; The Star Spangled Banner - for starters. Susan Boyle's voice is magnificent - love the CD.
