A number of aphorisms from a dying professor

The story has a form of personal lectures from the old professor, Morrie, to the author who met him the first time in 16 years after graduating college. In the every Tuesday lecture, he gave a lesson of what was really significant and meaningful to life. Actually, the professor was found to be under incurable disease and his days were numbered, which gave more weight to his already precious words. But still, he was amiable and cheerful, so his aphorisms will naturally come to and sink in your mind warmly without a feeling of being forced to be preached. That’s one of the very good points of this book. Another good point is the nature that he cared for present, neither past nor future. He tried to focus only on the events between him and the person he was with. I was reminded again that this attitude was what we should never forget in communication. You can easily imagine the twinkle in his eyes when you take this lecture.
