Restaurant Dining Room Tables
Choosing the right dining table requires more than just finding one you like. There are several things you need to consider to make sure that you are happy with your choice. You need to choose the ideal size, shape and material. If you have a small dining room, or need seating for a certain number of people, size might be the most important factor. As a general rule, there should be at least 32 inches between the back of the chair and the wall. This will allow enough space for someone to push their chair back to stand up. You should also make sure that each person has a minimum of 28 inches of elbow space between each chair. This will provide your family and guests with enough room to comfortably sit at the table. Dining tables come in lots of different shapes. While shape is a personal preference, it might be dictated by the space you have in your dining room. A long narrow dining room is more suited to a square or rectangle table. while a larger room might be ideal for a round dining table. Shape can also depend on how intimate you want the dining experience to be. Square dining tables are a good choice for both casual and romantic meals. Most will seat four people comfortably and some even have extensions to expand the seating area to six. While a square table is ideal for daily dining, they're not a great choice for entertaining a large group of people. If you entertain frequently, or play host for the holidays, a rectangle dining table is a much better choice. A rectangle dining table can seat numerous people. Some sets offer seating for 8 to 10 people. If you don't want to have a sit down meal, they can double as a buffet table. A rectangular table can also be placed against the wall when not in use. However, keep in mind that if the table is too long, it will be hard for guests on opposite ends of the table to hold a conversation. Round dining tables make excellent conversation areas because every person can make eye contact with the other peop
